Lakeside Caravan and Camping Park
Camping in the Brecon Beacons |
Lakeside Caravan & Camping Park is situated adjacent to Llangorse Lake in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park and Black Mountains. Surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons, the Caravan and Camp Site offers many opportunities for those interested in outdoor activities. Llangorse Lake is the largest natural lake in South Wales and is renowned for its Pike Fishing. Canoes, sailing dinghies, rowing boats and pedaloes can all be hired from Lakeside Caravan & Camping Park, water- skiing is also permitted on the lake.
Llangorse village offers pony trekking, an indoor climbing centre and two local pubs (Recommended Local Pubs for meals can be found on the Links Page ) and there is a huge choice of footpaths and bike trails within the Brecon Beacons National Park, or, from the Caravan & Camp Site you can follow the footpath around Llangorse Lake.
The Llangorse Crannog Centre, a thatched round house, containing historical and environmental information regarding the Crannog and Llangorse Lake is well worth a visit. The Crannog Centre, which is reached by a wooden walkway out into the waters of Llangorse Lake, gives you exceptional views of Pen-y-Fan the highest summit in the Brecon Beacons. An idyllic setting, the Crannog Centre is now available as a Wedding Venue.
Lakeside Caravan & Camp Site offers pitches for tents, touring caravans and motor homes. We have some hard standing pitches for touring caravans and motor homes, with electric hook up points. Grass pitches are also available for tents with or without electric hook up points, these can also be used for touring caravans and motor homes.
In addition to the Caravan and Camp Site we also offer Static Caravan Hire. We have both 4 berth and 6 berth caravans for hire. These holiday homes are fully equipped with a shower, toilet, gas cooker, microwave, fire etc. The Camp Site and the Caravan Holiday Homes for hire are available from Easter to the end of October.
The Caravan and Camp Site offers toilet and shower blocks, a chemical disposal point, laundry, washing up area and a children’s play area.
We currently hold a David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation.
