Ynysmarchog Bunkhouse
4 Star Bunkhouse Accommodation in Trecastle
The lovely upper Usk valley in the Brecon Beacons National Park is the peaceful location of The Bunkhouse at Ynysmarchog in Trecastle (Trecastell).
The name Ynysmarchog translated from Welsh means "The Island or Water Meadow, of the Knight" and is historically understood to refer to Sir Watkin Clwyd who was killed at the battle of Agincourt.
The farm dates from Elizabethan times and still retains a natural charm and peaceful location in a spectacular region within the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales, United Kingdom.
You will come to The Bunkhouse if you are looking for something a little different for your holiday. Peace and quiet, natural beauty, outdoor pursuits or perhaps a wander round this historically rich area.
Take a browse through this web site to find out why our bunkhouse accommodation is worth considering for your next holiday break and why the Visit Wales (Tourist Board) has chosen to accredit us with their prestigious 4 Star Rating which will give you some indication of the standard of accommodation and facilities to expect.
It is no accident that we have repeated bookings year after year and have built a reputation for having one of the best bunkhouses in Wales.
